Description
Liquid Sodium Hydroxide, which is also known as caustic soda or lye, is a highly caustic and corrosive chemical compound with the chemical formula NaOH. It is a clear, odorless liquid that is commonly used in various industrial applications: in the production of soaps and detergents, in the refining of petroleum products, such as gasoline and diesel fuel, in the production of paper and pulp to dissolve lignin and separate cellulose fibers, to process and treat various types of textiles.
